I am a student at North Carolina State University where I am pursuing my MS in Textiles. My focus is on textile design and product development, but my background is in theater design and production. Working on musicals certainly helped develop my love of sparkle and vibrant color, but the theater has also provided me with experience working in a variety of period and artistic styles.

My other life-long passion is beaded jewelry and especially beaded embroidery. My skills are wide ranging and include woodworking, foam sculpting, molding and casting, and upholstery. I have worked with a variety of crafts from stained glass and hot glass to hand weaving to silversmithing and enameling. The truth is that the urge to create is a compulsion for me, and each project is a chance to perfect my technique and become a better designer and artisan.
